Albuquerque Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (ACONS)

Welcome To Albuquerque!

The City of Albuquerque was founded in 1706, by Spanish settlers, though history records the presence of Native Americans as early as 2000 B.C.  The city was named for the 10th Spanish Duke of Alburquerque. The eastern part of the city is nestled in the foothills beneath the Sandia Mountains While its western boundaries are set by the Rio Grande River.

Albuquerque is truly a city for the times. From active Latino and Native American cultures embracing traditions and lifestyles from the past  to technology industries such as Intel, Albuquerque has something for everyone.

As the sun sets on the desert lands, to the west, the only thing needed to complete the Albuquerque experience is You. If you are in Albuquerque on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, look us up and join us for our ACONS meeting. You're always welcome and, who knows, you may decide to stay.
